Alesis Multimix 8 With Mac Ableton 1
Here for the gear
I'm in the process of putting together my songs for live performance, but I'm running into a bit of an issue.
I don't want to use my Mbox Mini 3, and my old Mbox Mini 2 works for a bit but then starts generating white noise after using it for a bit (if any knows the fix for this, please let me know!). Long story short, I busted out my old Alesis MultiMix 8 USB (http://alesis.com/multimix8usb) Basically I'm trying to reamp the signal from Ableton and back out into my VOX for in-time looping. I have no problem with audio coming in through the USB interface, the problem is there's no signal from the audio out when connecting to my headphone out on my Macbook Pro. I've so tried using the TAPE IN on the mix, which is where the manual suggested the USB return signal goes. No dice. For the life of me, I can't figure out why the signal from the OUT is not being delivered to the reamp box and into my amp. I can't afford a new interface for live shows right now, so It'd be great if I could figure out a solution. Here's my signal path: Guitar Pedal Board > Channel 1 input of MultiMix > Ableton: Channel INPUT - USB Mixer > Ableton: Channel OUTPUT - Native Macbook Output > Reamp box > VOX AC15C2 Alesis Multimix 8 With Mac Ableton 1Alesis Multimix 8 With Mac Ableton 7
